Pokemon Galar Region Hammerlocke Walkthrough
Step 1
Welcome to Hammerlocke, the second major city in the Galar region. This is where Chairman Rose has set up a power plant to provide the entire region with energy, and it is also where you will face the dragon-type Gym Leader Raihan – but not just yet! You can only face him once you collect the other seven gym badges. So, for now, head on toward the Gym Stadium and see what Rose and Bede are talking about.
Step 2
After his conversation with Bede, the chairman will discuss a few things with you, too. Clearly the energy of the Galar region is his passion – follow him into the stadium and he will give you a little lecture on how the region gets its juice. But it is not long before the chairman has to head off again, and you will now be free to explore Hammerlocke.
Step 3
You could immediately go have a look at the vault as Rose suggested, but you may also want to spend some time roaming Hammerlocke. If you head to the east, there are items you can find, plus plenty of people to talk to. You can also visit Hammerlocke Stadium, but you won’t be able to go all the way to Route 7 yet. Team Yell’s decided to practice their cheers in the middle of the road.
Step 4
Once you have explored the east side of town, come back and head west. Lo and behold, Leon is waiting right there for you! He has apparently run into Hop, and it sounds like your rival took his defeat against Bede pretty hard. Maybe you should try to cheer him up next time you run into him. After a brief conversation, Leon will be off to meet with the chairman, and you can now see what the west side of the city has to offer. You will find a new Battle Café and boutique here, as well as a hair salon.
Step 5
You have kept Raihan waiting long enough, so head on over to say hi. Raihan is the Gym Leader of Hammerlocke, but as he will tell you, you cannot face him just yet. For the time being, let him know you are here to see the vault and the treasures within. He will give you access, and he will also give you his League Card.
Step 6
Now you can head up the stairs to the left, which lead up to the vault, but don’t miss TM29 Charm on the way. It is outside the vault itself, just below the small steps leading up to it. Once inside the vault, you will find Sonia – seems like she took the advice of Chairman Rose after all. The vault contains several tapestries showing a tale from Galar’s past, so now is your chance to learn even more about the legends. Sonia will also give you two revives, just to make sure you are set for the next section of your challenge.
Step 7
Head back down the stairs for another quick chat with Raihan. He will let you know where you should head next – Route 6 and then Stow-on-Side. If you are done exploring Hammerlocke, then you can get to Route 6 through the western exit.
